Brown Sugar ShortbreadMakes approximately 2 dozenINGREDIENTS 1 cup Natural Directions Organic Butter 1/2 cup Brown Sugar 1/8 tsp. Almond Extract 1/4 tsp. Salt 2 cups Natural Directions Organic All Purpose Unbleached Flour DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Cream butter, brown sugar and almond extract until fluffy. Add salt and flour and mix well. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 1/2" thick rectangle. Cut into 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" rectangles. Place cut dough onto parchment paper lined baking sheets and prick with a fork. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely. Serve alone or with fresh berries and whipped cream. |
