Classic Split Pea SoupServes 8INGREDIENTS 5 oz. Canadian Bacon, finely chopped, 3/4 cup Yellow Onions, chopped 1/2 cup Celery, chopped 1 cup Carrots, chopped 2 large Garlic Cloves, minced 49 oz. Organic Chicken Broth 1-1/2 cups Natural Directions Organic Split Green Peas, rinsed 1 sprig Fresh Thyme DIRECTIONS Sauté Canadian bacon in large stockpot until crisp. Add onion, celery, carrots and garlic and sauté until tender. Add broth, split peas and thyme sprig. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 60 minutes or until peas are tender. Remove thyme. Using a blender, puree half of the soup, then return to stockpot and mix thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper. |
